Fox Terriers
During 1999 whilst I had just started showing the Lakelands, Steve got a passion for the smooth fox terrier and unbeknown to me had ordered a puppy from Margaret Rose (Bannside) Hence we got Bannside Manna from Heaven (Ernie) our great white hunter, wags his tail, gets on everyone and all the other dogs, but let him loose in the garden and he will hunt for Engalnd! We have two stuffed fox cubs which are Ernie's trophies. We felt he needed company (he kept getting beaten up by the Lakelands) so we got Rockenhart Rose (Ethel) to keep him company and they live happily together.
They produced NKunde sing when ur happy (Eric) who is making his debut in the ring late this year.
If you like terrier temperament but do not want to be stripping coats out Smooths are great pets, not to be recommended if you have small fluffy animals, they are great with children and other dogs.
Wire Fox Terriors
I am totally in love with this breed, they have a slightly easier coat to manage than the Lakeland (not having as much undercoat) and I find them easier to train.
» Warigal what will be (Norman) an only child! So loving he is besotted with me, only shown three times two best puppy in shows and a best in show so hopefully with a great career in front of him, he loves the show ring! See the news page for updates on his career.
We have just had our first home bred litter from Champion Willowire Wind & Fire and Ora des Regaires avec Gosel (Imp fra) born 28th September 2003 watch out for Nkunde As you like it (Audrey) and Nkunde As good as it gets (Cyril)
Then there is Lily, mother of Norman, who I looked after nearly three years ago and never left, she is the perfect dog!! Never done a thing wrong her whole purpose in life is to please you.
